Ibrahimovic: PSG were born the day the Qataris arrived

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic claims the club s history should only be traced back to when the current owners took over in 2011.

The Ligue 1 champions have experienced a transformation in fortunes since Qatar Sports Investments arrived in the French capital, winning three league titles and three cup crowns.

A domestic treble last season saw some tip PSG for a Champions League push this term and Laurent Blanc s men head to Stamford Bridge with a 2-1 advantage over Chelsea in their last-16 tie on Wednesday.

And Ibrahimovic has drawn comparisons between PSG and Chelsea, whose Champions League win in 2012 was the culmination of almost a decade of investment from Roman Abramovich.

How far can Eddie Howe take Bournemouth?

Bournemouth have started the Premier League campaign in good fashion, winning their opening league games beating Cardiff 2-0 on the opening day of the campaign before winning 2-1 at West Ham last time out.

That winning run faces a stern test on Saturday afternoon, as the Cherries welcome a seemingly revitalised Everton under Portuguese boss Marco Silva.

I am a big fan of Eddie Howe

I am a big fan of Cherries boss Eddie Howe, and not just because he was a childhood Evertonian either! The 40-year-old has done an exceptional job with the south coast club taking them from rags to riches during his reign. He deserves even more credit for keeping the Cherries in the Premier League.

What I like most about Howe is the fact that he believes in his own ideas, and will de…

Prediction: Inter Milan vs Benfica

Best Odds: 3/4

Bookmaker:

Looking to collect a first Champions League victory at the second attempt on Tuesday night, Inter Milan will welcome Benfica to the San Siro.

Inter Milan

Starting with the hosts, while Inter Milan might have slumped to a shock 2-1 loss at home against Sassuolo on September 27th, the Italian heavyweights certainly came roaring back over the weekend. Putting in a rampant performance away at Salernitana as they breezed their way to a 4-0 romp, Simone Inzaghi’s men will be looking to use that display as a platform to build on. Gaining a string of plaudits last season as they reached the Champions League final before suffering a 1-0 loss at the hands of Manchester City, the Nerazzurri have their sights firmly set on mounting another genui…
